Back Muscle Workout
On Monday January 13, our class was working out in the weight room. My group was assigned to work on the back muscles. We did 4 exercises: back lat pulldown, seated cable row, one arm dumbbell row and back extension. After doing these exercises, I felt my back muscles begin to loosen up. I also felt that my posture improve and I could stand straighter. In conclusion, I feel that I need to do more back muscle exercises so that I can improve my posture.

Weekend Fitness Hikes
On October 20th, I went hiking with my family at Clearbrook Park in Abbotsford. We hiked 3.3 km in 45 minutes. We walked around and through the fields and up and down two hills.
On October 27, I went hiking again with my family, this time at Aldergrove Regional Park. We hiked 2.2 km in 45 minutes. We had to hike up and down steep hills and narrow paths, which is why this hike took the same amount of time as the last hike, even though it was shorter.
Overall, I have tried to push myself to do more physical activities outside school, even though I have limited spare time.

Mid Term Report
One month has gone by in the school year. During the first month of Physical Education class, I've been trying to get back in shape. Because I somewhat active over the summer, I decided to spend the first month trying to get myself back to the physical level I was at by the end of last school year.
So far, I haven't been doing as much physical activities outside class as I did last year, which is why I'm still kind of out of shape. This is mainly due to my busy schedule. Most of the time I spend being active is done in school during Physical Education class, which is the main reason why I try to do my best in class.
I've been doing well for the first month so far. In addition to the many sports and games we've played, we've also done many fitness activities such as the community run and the fitness stations. I've tried my best while doing these activities, no matter how well I'm doing them. In class, I am always prepared to participate, help out, and encourage others to do their part.
In conclusion, I've been doing my best to get back in shape and I will try to possibly improve my fitness level.

Final Summery
- Comment on your; attendance / punctuality / readiness to participate.
I am always here on time and ready to participate. I always come prepared and put in my best effort.
- Comment on any changes to your fitness. Provide evidence of the change. Reflect on why the change happened.
Throughout my blog posts, my fitness has significantly changed. My fitness test scores have improved greatly (see previous posts). I think this happened because of the swimming I've been doing in my spare time.
- Comment on how you contribute to our class dynamic? What do you bring? Give examples.
I am always willing to help others and offer to help out in the class. I feel that I bring a sense of leadership to the class.
- Comment on what it means to you to be physically educated? How are you ready for independence?
I think that being physically educated means that you can do physical activities without much instruction. Being ready for independence means that you don't need to be guided in doing an activity and are self-motivated.
- Reflect on what barriers might be keeping you from succeeding a healthy, active lifestyle. Troubleshoot those obstacles.
I think that time is a barrier that I have to overcome. I should try to do more physical activities in my spare time.
- Suggest a grade that attempts to reflect you learning / performance / understandings / contributions...
I think that I should get an A.
